Extreme sports enthusiasts will want to circle Jan 19-23 on their calendars.
Thats when the sport of kettlebell will be introduced to the island as two world-class kettlebell coaches will visit Victoria and host several clinics around the city.
Victoria’s Linda Gilmour, owner of Ironbell Fitness and Kettlebell training and a former national skating champion who will compete in her first kettlebell competition this March In New York City, is teaming up with the WKC master trainers Steven Khuong and Maya Garcia of San Francisco to showcase the sport of kettlebell in Victoria.
Kettlebell athletes lift and swing a metal weight trhat resembles a heavy cannon ball with a handle. Gilmour says the sport is a great cardio, strength and flexibility workout rolled into one.
